How To Disable WhatsApp Auto downloads for all chats

Follow the simple steps below to disable auto downloads from all WhatsApp chats, including groups:

Step 1: Open your WhatsApp and go to the settings by tapping on the three dots at the right top corner of the chats menu as shown below.

Step 2: After which you have entered the settings, select Data and Storage Usage.

Step 3: You will see three options: when using cellular data, when connected on Wi-Fi and when roaming. Tap one and disable the media files you desires, be it images audios, video, or all.

That’s all, you will now have access to manually downloads the media files you want and neglect those that are less important to you.

How to disable WhatsApp Auto Downloads from individual groups

Step 1: Click on the three dots menu shown on the right top Conner in the group.
Step 2: Click on the group info.
Step 3: Three options will be shown below the group name, Whit includes; mute notification, media visibility.
Step 4: Select media visibility.
Step 5: Once you have selected the option, a pop-up will appear Yes or No option. Select No
That’s all, the media files from that group will not be saved automatically anymore.

How to disable WhatsApp auto downloads on iPhone

Step 1: Open WhatsApp and tap the settings button at the bottom right, and tap on data and storage usage.
Step 2: You will see the media auto Download option on top.
Step 3 : Select never option for photos, audios, videos and documents.

Now only the files you choose to download manually will appear on your phone and you will be able to manage your phone storage and data usage Respectively.

How to stop someone from viewing your WhatsApp status without either blocking nor removing the Person from your contacts.

Step 1: Go to your WhatsApp status section.
Step 2: Click on the three dots menu on the top right corner and select status privacy.
Step 3: You will see three options below who can see your status and those options are:
• My contacts
• My contacts except
• Only share with a
Step 4: Click on the second option  “My contacts except” and all your contacts that are on WhatsApp will be displayed.
Step 5: Select the contacts that you want to stop from viewing your status.
And that’s all, the person will no longer have access to your status anymore.
NOTE: Repeat the Same steps to enable the person again, if you wish.
